Tim works with meeting planner clients to make their dreams of a successful event come true in Grand Rapids. He and his team help clients plan their events, promote their events and ensure that event attendees enjoy their time in Grand Rapids.
Tim joined Experience Grand Rapids in 1999 as Visitor Center Manager, overseeing staff and resources dedicated to assisting tourists and meeting attendees. Two years later, he brought his hospitality expertise and knowledge of Grand Rapids to our convention services team. Since then, he has earned qualification as both a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) and Certified Tourism Ambassador™ (CTA).
Tim credits the natural hospitality of Grand Rapids residents for making his job easier. “Until you travel, you don’t realize how friendly and helpful people are here. They say hi, hold doors and generally offer to help. You don’t find that attitude very many places!”
